It looks like folks using Spectrum might be having some issues. I see lots of people having issues and they all have Spectrum IP addresses.

Huge shout out to everyone that has helped with recruiting. It really makes a difference!

42:47
If we don't have a desire to keep existing Blackboard material, but it falls into record retention requirements, will the university have that on hand in the case of a FOIA (etc…), or are we responsible for archiving that until we pass the record retention period?
Shelley Pressley (she/her)
44:26
Good question @Billy. One of us will find out. I do not know the answer to this.

Do the doors go back to "normal" unlock policy on the 12th?

Has WSU set a firm date by which employees must be vaccinated by? (Which means the vaccination process needs to start up to five weeks before that time depending on the vaccine).
Mary Rezac
49:39
@ Billy, we'll ask Dar but I am not aware of a firm date. At this point, we are asking those that have been vaccinated to complete the attestation. And, yes, being vaccinated means that you have to wait 14 days after your second shot for the 2-shot vaccines.
Megan Comstock [she, her]
49:58
As advisors, how will we know which students have been vaccinated and can meet in our office?
Mary Rezac
50:29
@Megan, I'll answer this verbally in just a minute

I just reached out to a colleague in Central ITS. WSU will be retaining the data in Blackboard for 5 years, per BPPM. Faculty can abandon in place if they don't need it in Canvas.

@Tony thanks!

He added that they "may" encourage faculty to migrate it themselves for convenience as they are not sure what the restoration process will look like once we decommission Blackboard.

Will mail services return to normal so that mail will be delivered directly to departments as they were in 2019?

Will it be possible to know what percent of students in our classes are vaccinated?
Jean-Sabin McEwen

There is a way to do this I am told.

For those not planning to be vaccinated, what is the deadline to request an exception?
Kristine Olsen
01:02:13
If faculty ask all students to show vax cards upon entering a room, and a student doesn't have it or doesn't provided it (for the Fall semester), do you know what their options are? (Require mask? seat 6' away from others? Ask the student to leave?)
Bernard Vanwie
01:02:38
Are there easy instructions for finding vaccination information through WorkDay?
Mary Rezac
01:03:02
@Kristine: require mask and 6' distancing is the option.
Paul Wilmoth
01:03:31
What happens when the room capacity doesn't allow 6ft distancing of students?
Mary Rezac
01:03:59
@Bernie, we'll try to show you at the end of this meeting. It's really easy.
Renee Petersen
01:04:59
Some people already had COVID. Are they also required to get vaccinated?
Kishor Shrestha
01:05:03
How do a faculty member manage a lab class? Some students might not vaccinated in case.
Anita Vasavada
01:05:57
For out of class group work, can students ask each other about vaccination status?
Kuen-Ren Chen
01:06:04
Will it be OK to group non-vaccinated students together for group projects (or vice versa)?
Kristine Olsen
01:06:24
My view of employees who've attested only says "Completed" - it doesn't say if they've said yes or no to being vaccinated.
Noel Schulz, WSU (she, her)
01:06:53
What are plans for week of welcome and what are guidelines for student events?
Kishor Shrestha
01:07:14
Thank you.
Shelley Pressley (she/her)
01:08:08
@Noel - week of welcome planning is happening now. The plan is to be in person for Wow, but modifications are being made to planning, spacing, etc.
Shelley Pressley (she/her)
01:08:51
@Noel there are specific guidelines you need to follow for larger student gatherings (>100) and for events that include food.
Kristine Olsen
01:09:34
Thank you Dar & Tony for checking.
Brett Stav, Voiland College
01:10:35
To qualify Renee's question/answer: prior Covid infection does not equate to being vaccinated in WSU's policy. ie, you'll still have to wear a mask and social distance even if you've had COVID before..
Shelley Pressley (she/her)
01:12:22
And YES there will be an ice cream social!
