Count on Cougs is a violence prevention program that focuses on making our campus safer by empowering bystanders, like you, to become active members in reducing gender-based violence (intimate partner violence, stalking, and sexual assault). Count on Cougs will teach you to recognize warning signs and acts of gender-based violence, so you can take action to help someone at risk of experiencing harm. During this workshop, we’ll also talk about the resources WSU has to support the wellbeing of all Cougs. After training, you’ll feel confident in your ability to recognize violence and be motivated to prevent it from happening. You will also receive a helpful guide to promoting violence prevention in your classes, offices, and other university spaces.
